Ch 6: Encounters & Clash of Cultures

This chapter provides an overview of the era of exploration and expansion. From the 1400s through the 1600s, imperialism, commerce, and maritime technology propelled Europeans to expand into Africa and the Americas. Rich with their own histories, the people of these continents confronted the Europeans with their own unique cultures.
